MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
As we approach the last quarter of the year and with school holidays just round the corner, we encourage students to continue their lessons to keep up with their performance and improve their playing skills. For those who will be away for holidays, students are advised to inform their respective teachers for proper arrangement of replacement classes for we do not want students to miss out lessons that will eventually hold back their progress especially for those who are preparing for exams next year.
Due to parking shortage, IMH is looking into this matter to provide convenience for our customers. Parents who intend to drop in to pay fees, may call our front office in advance for receipts to be ready upon payment or for our staff to bring the receipts to your car the moment you arrive at IMH. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank all parents for their understanding and cooperation.
There are several interesting year end programmes and upcoming holiday events for students to participate and enjoy. Details will be out soon. Stay tuned!
We would like to listen to your feedbacks and suggestions. There will be a suggestion box for parents to send in suggestions for improvements and better services, or email us at imh.surie@yahoo.com or imhteresasiaw@gmail.com. Though we may not be able to fulfill all your expectations, rest assured we are doing our best to ensure a “Rebranding” and improved service provider as an excellent one stop education specialist centre for you.

1. Congratulations to all students on their excellent results in the recent ABRSM and LCM performance exam! We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to parents for their continuous support.
2. We are pleased to announce that IMH has launched its resident orchestra under the baton of IMH very own experienced conductor, Mr. George Tay. As we are short of brass players, we encourage students to take up trumpet or trombone as their 2nd instrument and be trained to play in the orchestra.
3. Please be informed that although we have discontinued the IMH vouchers, all past vouchers issued are still valid for redemption.
2013 Educational Trip
The Academy students recently went on an educational trip to Kuala Lumpur to watch the Towering Ninth Concert at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas played by our very own Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra performed Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 which has a unique finale with a setting for four soloists backed by the Transylvannia State Philharmonic Choir. Before the students went on the trip they were guided to read up on the background of the symphony.
Students are also exposed to the professionalism of the orchestra members and the protocol required for an orchestra performance. The Academy constantly arrange activities for the students to increase their knowledge in areas related to music and to develop their own perception of their musical pathway.
IMH Academy offers school leavers an opportunity to seek higher education while continuing their passion for music with affiliations with Australian, British and Singaporean universities as well as local universities. For more information on this course, please give us a call at 082 424658 or visit us at IMH Rock Road.
